There’s a lot of information about herbs on the internet. Most of it isn’t very practical, effective, or safe. I want to change that- and I also believe that learning to use herbs should be simple and fun- so I created the 40 Day Herbalist Challenge!
Every Monday-Friday for the next 8 weeks, a new mini lesson will be available here on Indie Herbalist so that anyone can have an organized, simple introduction to using herbs at home.
Each day of the challenge will include the lesson and a quick activity or “mission” that you can use to increase your knowledge and confidence when working with herbs!
But what, exactly, will you learn how to do as part of the challenge? Read on to find out!
I know some of you are probably scratching your heads. “Can I really become an herbalist in 40 days? That would be cool, but let’s be realistic.”
Others are probably scoffing. “That’s ridiculous! You could study herbalism for 40 YEARS and still have more to learn.”
That’s true. But in 40 days, you CAN pick up the basics that took me several years of slogging through books and a lot of trial and error to figure out. 40 days + a little help in the right direction is plenty of time to learn the ropes, get a feel for what herbalism is all about, and end up with the skills to be a pretty solid beginner home herbalist.
The first week of the challenge is: What is an Herbalist? + How to Be One
Week One of the #40DayHerbalist Challenge debuted on January 2, 2017, but there’s still plenty of time to catch up, or start following along at your own pace. Here are links to the first 5 days of the Challenge!
Also, be sure to share with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram- the more, the merrier! #40DayHerbalist
